What is SewGreen?
SewGreen is a mission driven local organization that started out in 2007 as a nonprofit, but, with the support of its loyal customers, has evolved into a self-sustaining business.
SewGreen’s three-fold mission and purpose is:
SewGreen's resale fabric store has rescued and returned to circulation 18 tons of materials annually! SewGreen’s unique approach to reuse is to make sure everything in the store is clean, worthy of purchase, and artfully displayed. In addition to fabric and yarn, the store’s stock has expanded to include just about anything you would find in a “new” sewing store, for one-stop shopping.
Finally, SewGreen has partnered with the Eileen Fisher corporation to be an official outlet for beautiful previously purchased and returned Eileen Fisher clothing--just another way that SewGreen lives up to its motto of "We make reuse beautiful."

- provide affordable community education open to all
- to empower youth to develop lifetime skills through classes and teen apprentice programs
